About Dave
I have always considered myself to be a patient and thoughtful person. I believe that a person can only flourish if they have a mentor and someone that can guide them.
I don't claim to know everything but I inspire my students by encouraging curiosity, to problem solve on their own once fundamental concepts are taught and practiced.
I believe that everyone has potential and everyone needs a hand up at some point in their lives. I try to treat everyone with kindness, patience and respect, I never talk down to people, or make people feel that they are failing or are stupid.
I aim to inspire, encourage and empower.

A previous music teacher, I consider myself an excellent tutor. I try and understand my student with how they learn and the pace that they need to go. I won't expand on any topics until I am sure that a previous topic has been understood first as I believe that this is the way to accumulate knowledge and understand more advanced topics.
I explain things clearly and watch for signs that a student maybe struggling. If this is the case then I will back track and simplify until a concept is understood.
I am patient, friendly, personable and respectful to all students no matter their background, age, skill level or personal circumstances. Lesson lengths are to be determined with each individual.
