About Sarah
I graduated from UC Berkeley in 2025, where I worked as a tutor at the Student Learning Center, teaching organic chemistry and calculus to college students. Through this experience, I developed strong skills in explaining complex STEM concepts in a clear and approachable way.
I have extensive experience with rigorous STEM coursework and will be starting a Master’s program in Physician Assistant studies this fall. My academic background allows me to support students across a wide range of subjects while helping them build confidence and effective learning strategies.

Experience tutoring in AP Calculus, AP chemistry, AP biology, and other high school level courses as well as organic chemistry, biochemistry, general chemistry, statistics, and calculus in college. My teaching approach focuses on true understanding rather than memorization. I help students break down complex concepts and guide them through the reasoning behind each step so they can confidently solve problems on their own.
A typical lesson is interactive and tailored to the student’s needs. We start by identifying goals, review key concepts, and work through problems together before transitioning to independent practice. I encourage questions throughout and adjust my explanations until everything is clear.
I emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving strategies, and avoiding common mistakes—skills that are especially important for subjects like calculus and chemistry. I also help students build effective study habits, stay organized, and create structured study plans.
My goal is not just better grades, but stronger confidence and independence in learning.
