About Alexis
Hi! I’m Alexis, a passionate educator who believes every student is capable of success with the right support and approach. I have experience teaching students with diverse backgrounds, learning styles, and academic needs, and I know that no two learners are the same. My goal is to create a space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing with confidence.
I don’t believe in memorization without understanding. Whether we’re working on reading, writing, math, or study skills, I focus on helping students understand why concepts work so they can apply their knowledge independently. I tailor every lesson to each student’s goals and learning style while maintaining high expectations and plenty of encouragement.
Above all, I want students to leave each session feeling more confident than when they arrived. Watching students make connections, overcome challenges, and realize what they’re capable of is what makes teaching so rewarding.

I meet students where they are, adapt lessons to fit how they learn best, and encourage them to think beyond simply getting the right answer. My teaching focuses on building confidence, curiosity, and lasting understanding, whether we’re working through difficult concepts or preparing for an upcoming test. I want every student to leave each lesson feeling more capable than when they started.
