About Sebastian
Hello, my name is Sebastian and I just finished my master's degree from the New School with a 3.95 GPA. I have always been a fan of history ever since I was a little kid and this led to me double majoring in history and political science during my undergrad at Fordham. I have 6 years of experience working with elementary school children. During my high school and undergraduate years, my teachers picked me out to tutor several of my colleagues so I have some experience with tutoring one on one as well.

Since I am able to teach a wide variety of educational levels from middle school to undergraduate lesson plans for each subject will vary. I am a firm believer that simply handing out extra assignments is not an effective method of tutoring, so while where needed I will provide extra assignments for students, I prefer to assist students with existing work they already have so they can better understand. This will take the form of helping edit essays or prepare for exams, or helping with homework or revising past assignments. Most lessons will be taught in a socratic lecture style that ideally takes the form of a discussion between myself and whoever I am teaching. This will involve me going through a powerpoint on the subject including visuals and questions designed to engage the student.
