About Verity
I recently graduated from the University of Manchester where I studied English Literature for 3 years. English has always been my strongest and most loved subject, but I have a strong creative side which is what has lead me in my work.
Before my degree I completed a foundation in Art and Design, and I am now studying for a Masters in creative Screenwriting for film and television at the Northern Film School, Leeds Beckett. I have 4+ years experience in writing critical English Literature essays at a higher education level, and 10+ years honing creative writing skills in both an artistic and academic environment, 5 of those years in higher education.
The outcome of my experience and combined interests is a passion for being able to use creative language in a beautiful and effective way to convey an idea in the best way possible, whether that be in the form of an academic critical essay, a poem, or a screenplay.

In my lessons I hope to inspire young writers to hone their skills and unlock their potential and unique voice by encouraging creativity and the art of expression. I will share my knowledge in writing for a deadline whilst prioritising creativity, and writing in a concise and effective way whilst maintaining a high level of quality. I am happy to proof read any literature essays, help prepare for English exams of any level, and work with students to develop their drafts and take their creative ideas to the next level, both in poetry, fiction and creative screenwriting,
