About Kimia

My name is Kimia and I am a History postgraduate student at LSE. I have studied History for nearly four years, and hope to pursue a PhD later too. I have also achieved an A* in History for my A levels, and hope to be able to relay the skills I have developed in the past few years to my students, and encourage the space to ask critical questions.

About the lesson

I firmly believe that students must enjoy the content they learn in order to be able to understand and fully retain it. Therefore, my lessons will use a mixture of interactive powerpoints, quizzes, and media (such as podcasts and youtube videos) to fully engage students with what they are learning and find interest in it. I have taught History for four years to students and have managed to help all my students achieve A*/A! I can teach students at all levels and ages, ranging from those who want to improve their high school grades to those who are simply just interested in History. My area of expertise is in histories of empire and colonialism, especially South West and South Asia, however, I do have knowledge beyond this and in other regions (just ask!).
