About Natasha
I have just graduated with a first from a Painting and Printmaking BA (Hons) at The Glasgow School of Art. At the Royal Drawing School I was taught colour theory and life drawing. I have spent many hours attending Candid Arts Life Drawing Sessions. In GCSE and A Level Art I achieved full marks so have knowledge about what exam boards are looking for. I have had experience as a teacher in a Woodland Kindergarten and I volunteer with the charity Forest School Camps, so I enjoy hanging out and caring for young children and people with neurodiversity.

I keep the classes open and adaptable. Art is a personal and creative process. I guide my students towards skills but would never stifle individual styles. I will structure my lessons around what skills you are interested in learning. For example: Life Drawing will focus on traditional and then experimental approaches. Tonal drawing, through shading and building an impression will follow. I will then teach line drawing, using sight size measuring. Printmaking will start with mono print and collograph and then proceed into more permanent plate based printing. Painting, in oil, will initially be taught with regards to mixing colours and tonal equivalents. Then we would adopt a more flexible methodology towards applying paint and textural mark making. To adapt the classes to younger age groups I would foster playful and collaged approaches. If the student was focusing on a GCSE or A Level, I could focus these studies around relevant mark schemes and art historical references.
