About Sarah
I have always wanted to be a teacher since being a little girl When my children were born, I enjoyed teaching them to read and write and most of all enjoyed the experience of watching my children learn new knowledge.
Once I was older enough to go to university, I did not go more to the disgrace of my father but went after my children had grown up a bit. This is where my love of learning showed to my family. Before going to university, I did not like school, I tried but seemed to get nowhere in my learning.
Once at University, I became interested in learning. I studied Social Science which had all sorts of aspects such as Criminology, and my favourite subject Sociology. I learnt so much through the degree that I went to do a master's in early childhood and education. This was learning about the contemporary side of education and how Ofsted was used in the early year's curriculum.
This gave me the passion to learn more about teaching and this is why I did a teaching qualification in the post sector which enabled me to work in colleges and secondary schools. I enjoyed the challenges with the students and how to help them enjoy learning again.
But the most wonderful part of teaching is seeing the student achieve and fulfil their dreams by passing and going on to do other things with their qualifications. watching them learn new skills and ways of improving their work makes it all worthwhile to be a teacher. Building up that trust and supporting the students is why I became a teacher.

My approach to personal tutoring is that I am very organised and can teach study skills to help students who are struggling at university or college to get things sorted such as their timetable. How to plan their assignments in a structured way.
My lesson can be 1hr to 2hr depending on how the students are feeling and what they want help on.
Whether they just want help with the assignment questions or even revision.
My qualifications range from teaching qualifications to undergraduate to Master, there are also some diplomas as well in different subjects and GCSE English.
My experience as a tutor has been working in primary and secondary working with the curriculum and learning outcomes, to colleges working on placements to help combine the practical and the assignments.
