About William

I graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in psychology. During my time there, I worked as a peer tutor for Knack Turoring. I mostly tutored statistics in psychology and other topics to a lesser extent, like psychobiology.

Additionally, I served as a teaching assistant in a class on formal logic. In this position, I helped students prepare for exams, and I worked with students through complicated problems in logic.

I excelled in all the classes I took that cover subjects I will be tutoring, have received nothing but five-star reviews on Knack, and have a successful background in tutoring overall. I'm here to help, so please do not hesitate to reach out.

About the lesson

Lessons start with your sharing your questions, points of confusion, and overall understanding of the subject matter. From there, we will work through some problems or review material, and I will answer questions along the way.

I try to have my students practice working through problems with my assistance, rather than merely explain answers to questions. Practice with problems, and with working through material, better serves memory, and offers lasting and effective strategies for learning.

That's all not to say I don't also answer questions directly. When I'm explaining a concept, I always make sure to target the particular area of misunderstanding or confusion. And I focus on building a groundwork of understanding, rather than feeding loads of disjointed information.
