About Mark

As I mentioned above I have been tutoring a wide variety of pupils both adults and children for 6 years, including pupils with Special Educational Needs such as Autism and Dyslexia.

All in all I have privately tutored 11 pupils but I have also been working in Primary, Secondary, Special and Language Schools for 6 years. Any of these schools I have worked in Pupils that I taught have consistently progressed.

The first pupil I tutored was an Autistic pupil preparing for his History and English Literature GCSE. With my help he went from achieving Grade Ds in his practice essays to achieving a B in GCSE History and a C in GCSE English Literature.

I then tutored a group of 4 pupils in Oral English. They were 8-9 years old and during my tenure over 8 weeks they went from Grade 3 Spoken English to Grade 4 Spoken English.

Alongside this I also tutoring a 17 year pupil taking his IB English Language and Literature exam. The pupil went from averaging Grades 3-4 to regularly writing essays of a Grade 5 standard under my tutelage.

Moreover I tutored an adult pupil who needed to prepare for his creative writing part of his GRE exam. His baseline level was a Score 3 and after our sessions he was averaging a score 5.

Lastly I was tutoring 4 accountants at Merck Pharmaceutical company in oral english. After 6 weeks of tutoring they were confidently able to talk fluent english during Telephone conferences, meetings and every aspect of their working and personal lives.

About the lesson

My Name is Mark

I am graduate of 6 years and currently working as a Teaching Assistant at a Primary School.

My 6 years of tutoring experience include a wide range of humanities subjects for primary, secondary and A level students. My Specialist subjects include English Literature, English Language, Drama, Sociology and History.

Furthermore I've recently returned from Vietnam having been living there for 7 months. Having become TEFL qualified I taught Engish to primary and secondary school pupils as well as teaching accountants for MERCK pharmaceutical company. Whilst in Vietnam I also worked for a tutoring company known as Intertu Education. During my time at the company I successfully tutoring an IB Language and Literature pupil in preparation for their exam and an adult pupil preparing for creative writing section of their GRE exam.

My lessons are fun, interactive and informative and will give you the tools to read or write creatively in the subjects I have listed above

My lessons structures include warm-up exercises to get you thinking about the topic in hand, followed by 15-20 minute activities on said topic and lastly a conclusion of what was learnt. My lessons will involve a variety of oral and written tasks. I'm flexible in teaching in a way that suits your style.
