About Ian

I have taught for eight years. I have experience teaching people from age 7 to 60.
Im actually working on personal musical project, such as Joyce Tafoya & Ian Franco Duet, as a sideman with Jezreel Project, and as a music educator.

About the lesson

I teach electric guitar, blues, rock, but as I mentioned, im specialized in jazz.Music theory is fundamental for the understanding of the music. With this material, you will understand how the rhythms, the melodies, etc. work. The method I use for guitar lessons is to teach the proper technique for a good performance of the instrument. In the technique is the independence of the hands, different types of picking, speed exercises, chords, etc. The music theory method covers four main aspects: · Sight reading (consists of graphically recognizing the notes in the three keys, G, F and C). · Rhythmic and metric (consists of learning the definitions of each concept and its application to music). · Intervals (consists in learning the definition of this concept and recognizing it both theoretically and auditively). · Audition (consists of the recognition of sounds).
