I have an A* in IGCSE Mathematics and Chemistry and just took A-Level Mathematics and Chemistry (and I am predicted A/A* in both).
I do not have any one to one tutoring experience but have been involved in teaching students younger than me about frogs and alcohol.

I like to explain a concept first, using diagrams or in a way that the student learns well with. Next, it is important to move onto questions that check for understanding of, and embed, the basic principles, before moving onto problem solving questions.
Active recall and spaced repetition are also essential in learning information.
