When we think of yoga, we often think of complicated poses that only experienced yogis can do. However, yoga is actually a very accessible for each and every human being, and beginner yoga classes can help you to learn the basic poses and principles of yoga.
Beginner yoga classes will usually start with some basic breathing exercises, which will help you to relax and focus your mind. From there, you will learn some basic yoga poses, such as Asan, Pranayam, Suryanamaskar, etc. You will also be taught how to link your breath with your movement, which is an important part of yoga.
As you progress, you will learn more challenging poses, and you may also be introduced to some basic yoga philosophy. However, the focus of beginner yoga classes is always on learning the poses, movements, and mental wellbeing, and on building up your strength and flexibility.
