About Meha
Hiya! :) I am a dedicated gap year student and aspiring law undergraduate with a passion to teach many young people that may not feel like they are doing their best, especially growing up as one.
It’s almost impossible for one teacher to give 30 students the individual attention they need. Bright students often get overlooked, slip behind, or just miss out on hitting their top grades simply because nobody had the time to explain a concept in a way that clicked for them.
I love 1-to-1 tutoring because it completely changes that dynamic. We can slow things down, focus 100% on what you find tricky, and build real confidence without the stress of a busy classroom.
Lessons like me would probably look like this; having sat these exams recently myself, I understand the pressure. There are no silly questions in my lessons, and we keep things encouraging and relaxed. Whether we're dissecting tricky 11+ reasoning patterns or structuring a Grade 9 GCSE English essay, I’ll show you step-by-step how examiners think and how to pick up easy marks. As a current gap year student who recently achieved top grades in both GCSEs and A-Levels and applying for Law, I understand the pressure and the modern exam specifications inside out. Having successfully guided students through rigorous 11+ entrance exams and helped GCSE students master analytical writing, I offer an approachable, relatable and encouraging environment that helps students build genuine academic confidence.
The lessons are for:
- 11+ Entrance Candidates (Years 4–6 / Ages 8–11): Students preparing for GL Assessment, CEM, or independent school entrance exams across English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning, and Non-Verbal Reasoning.
- GCSE Students (Years 10–11 / Ages 14–16): Students tackling GCSE English Language and Literature (AQA or Edexcel) aiming to move from passing grades to Grades 7–9.
My ideal lesson would be an hour long, but if the student needs more time, I will be happy to extend that to 90 minutes. I am a more "question-and-answer" person than reading off a slideshow. We regularly practise with real past papers and timed questions so students build confidence under exam conditions without feeling overwhelmed.
