About Katherine
I have always had a love of learning, and want to share that with my students. I have a passion for reading and writing, as I believe these skills will carry us through life. I have been a secondary English teacher for going on five years, and have worked with a variety of students. I hope I can help students achieve their goals and reach their best.

I like to work with each student's individual needs to create a lesson/curriculum that works for them. A typical lesson will include a brief opening recall question, a reading section, examination questions, an explanation/analysis of what was taught, a short writing portion, and an "exit ticket" to leave the student thinking. This can be tailored to fit the student. These tutoring sessions are for students grades 5th to 11th in English or Language Arts. I can also help prep those about to take the ACT/SAT.
