About Khalilah
I am a senior at jt Williams secondary Montessori and am planning on going to university of Hawaii at Manoa for college. I currently work at the ymca children's center ykids and Iabsolutley love that job and bonding with the children. I have also previously taught at a Sunday school before as my first job that introduced me a bit to teaching and working with children, I then worked at frankies fun park which was not a very fulfilling job or one that I was interested in or passionate about. I now work at ykids which I absolutely love the only thing is I am not getting enough hours from that job alone.

As a Montessori student the values and teaching style of the Montessori method is very important to me, this means that the session would be very student driven with the aim to understand the subject and not just memorizing the knowledge to the point where they show mastery and are able to teach the skills and knowledge that has been worked on. I also prefer to teach using hands on methods and actually doing the things that are being taught through labs and shelf work and projects as much as possible whilst catering to the child and how they learn best and are most comfortable to set them up for success.
