About Marie
Hi!
My name is Marie Moreno.
I am currently working on my bachelors degree in English and History.
I love history and I want to share that passion with whoever is willing to let me.
What I enjoy most about tutoring is the smaller ratio of students to teacher, giving my students more individual time for personalized learning.
I am confident that with my help, any student can learn and understand history and its importance.

The best part about history is no one can change what happened.
My lessons in history involve learning and memorizing the “Who, What, Where and When”. For younger children this will mainly be all they need to know. For older children we will also go over “Why” and leaning on using comprehension skills to put history into place and seeing how events impacts another.
My lesson plan here :
Before we start - brief me about what we will be going over so I can prepare.
First part - Overview - what we will be learning
Main part - the main subject. This is where we will go into detail and the perfect time for questions.
The last part - reviewing - going over and making sure the lesson was understood and the child’s learning goal has been met.
History is a great subject to also learn studying techniques, as the material rarely changes, so we will also go over what’s the best way your specific student learns.
