About Dillon
Hi! My name is Dillon, and I’m passionate about helping students build confidence and skill in language arts through engaging, personalized learning. I earned my History degree from Hillsdale College, where I developed a strong foundation in writing, communication, research, and critical thinking.
My love for language arts began in middle school and has continued to grow through my academic work, business experience, and creative projects. I enjoy helping students improve their reading comprehension, writing clarity, vocabulary, and overall communication skills in a way that feels practical and motivating.
Outside of teaching, my biggest passions are fitness, reading, and music. I’m also deeply interested in music production, entrepreneurship, and creative media, which allows me to connect with students from a variety of interests and backgrounds. I believe learning works best when lessons are engaging, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s goals and personality.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in History from Hillsdale College, where I developed advanced skills in analytical writing, research, communication, and critical thinking. My academic background required extensive reading comprehension, essay writing, argument development, and source analysis, all of which directly support my ability to teach language arts effectively.
While my experience has been more mentorship- and communication-based than traditional classroom teaching, I have spent years helping others improve their writing, presentation skills, and understanding of complex subjects through collaborative learning and one-on-one guidance. My professional experience in business development, sales communication, and creative media has also strengthened my ability to explain ideas clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and build confidence in students.
My teaching approach is student-centered, encouraging, and practical. I believe students learn best when lessons are tailored to their goals, interests, and current skill level. I focus on creating an engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing critical thinking skills, and improving through consistent practice and positive feedback.
