About Juan David
Hello! My name is Juan David, you can find me on Instagram as @davidrinf. I am a student of Economics at the National University of Colombia. Since I was little I have been related to English. I learned the best way to communicate and to lose my fear when speaking. I was also able to understand that knowing another language is much more than speaking it, it is understanding a different world, with different people, cultures and contexts. The course is designed in 4 levels, each one of 20 daily sessions from Monday to Friday of 100 minutes each. Each level lasts 4 weeks: _ Level 1: From April 5 to 30, 2021. (20 sessions) _ Level 2: From May 3 to 28, 2021. (20 sessions) _ Level 3: From May 31 May to June 25, 2021. (20 sessions) _ Level 4: From June 28 to July 23, 2021. (20 sessions) 2 different schedules will be handled, each with a maximum capacity of 8 people each: _ 1. Monday to Friday from 11:00 am to 01:00 pm. _ 2. Monday to Friday from 07:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The classes are totally virtual. For the development of the topics, you will work with 2 guide books (Don't worry, you DO NOT have to buy them on your own), presentations, videos, audios, readings, applications, among others. In addition, you will be monitoring your learning using some tools that virtuality offers us, such as activities on the WordWall platform. Each level will contain some quizzes and exams (There is no type of qualification, they are only to verify the process). In addition to the spaces that will exist in each session to practice skills such as speaking or pronunciation, we will set up a space for a weekly Conversation Club outside of hours, without any additional cost. In addition, you will have access to: _ Monitoring of autonomous work through small Tasks on the Padlet platform. _ Recording of the classes _ PDF of the guide books. _ Access to the slides used in the explanation. _ Additional material. Before starting classes, a space will be set up in which I will introduce myself and try to explain the entire Methodology of each of the levels. In this way we will not waste time in the sessions explaining these things. Although if you want more information you can contact me and I will gladly explain you better. All the themes of basic communication in the language are distributed in each of the four levels. Therefore, at the end, you will not only be able to understand simple texts and audios in English, but you will also be able to start some conversations.
