About Maisarra
I have worked as a teacher for 4 years. At first I worked in a secondary school as a teaching assistant, where I assisted with teaching English, Maths and many other subjects to young people aged 9 to 16 I have a teaching assistant level two qualification!
Now I run a youth theatre every week this where I get to work with young people, encouraging them to learn new creative skills and develop their imagination to create amazing drama . The children also get the opportunity to develop their writing and speaking skills through all the carefully planned workshops I provide I absolutely love teaching and watching the people I teach flourish and gain confidence . Alongside my youth theatre I also attend Birmingham City University currently I am in my final year of studying Applied Theatre. This course gives me the opportunity to work along side other creative collaborators to create educational and fun workshops for range of different people who have different needs this has made me adaptable and helps me to understand all my students requirements. I have also worked with young people in Hong Kong and Kenya which has been an incredible experience and allowed me to develop my teaching skills further

Teaching is such an amazing experience. I love it so much ️ I feel so proud as I watch my students grow into their new found confidence and knowledge. I always try and improve my teaching style I love to make my lessons fun and exciting as well as informative, clear and adaptable. I feel that young people are the future and the more knowledge they gain the better the world becomes!
