About Ruby

Hello, my name is Ruby.

I am an Australian University student. I am a third-year Law student also studying international relations. I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures. I am really looking forward to meeting you.

I have worked as a lifeguard, swim instructor, law clerk and model (commercial work and acting).

I love to travel, play sports, go on outdoor adventures and spend time in nature. I also love cooking, music and drawing. I love doing so many different things, too many to list. I'm keen to learn about what you are interested in too. That's the basis of some great conversations.

About the lesson

I have three years of teaching as a swim coach and in outdoor education. I structure my lessons so that they are fun and celebrate progress. I love teaching because I like helping people overcome challenges to achieve their goals. I have a brother who has dyslexia and took a long time to learn to read and write, and we’ve hosted families who have immigrated to Australia with little English. So, I have plenty of empathy and experience for those new to the peculiarities of English.

I have lived overseas in countries where I had to learn a new language whilst at school. I know what it is like to learn a language. It is not easy, but I'm here to make it fun and help you succeed.

I am studying towards my TEFL/TESOL.
