About Ke'ala

I was a gymnast from 7-13, and had to quit due to a knee injury. My specialty was bars and beam, but I am comfortable coaching all positions. I have a passion for working with kids, and have been working with kids since the age of 11, through babysitting, coaching, and tutoring.

About the lesson

I can come to you, within a reasonable distance. My specialty was bars and beam, so I am best at coaching those, however I know how to coach all events. I can coach up to level five in gymnastics. I have been working with children for a long time now, and have had experience coaching at gymnastics gyms as well. I can coach babies to tweens, and am open to all levels! My approach to gymnastics coaching is a balance of fun, conditioning, and running routines and drills.

Ke’ala is a fantastic piano teacher. When she taught my 10 year old son, she was very organized, she provided a notebook and wrote each day’s lessons and how to practice. She got him interested by teaching them a REAL song a bit at a time until he had the whole thing memorized. My son played it for his school talent show and I’ve never seen him so proud of himself. It was a huge confidence booster. Ke’ala did wonder’s for him. Thanks Ke’ala!

Ke'ala was always super patient with my son, taking her time to answer any questions while boosting his confidence. She also allowed him to have say in the music they were learning which I think encouraged him and made him want to learn more.
