About Cecilia

My first teaching experience dates back to 2012, when, after achieving my degree in languages and translation, I decided to move to the UK, initially to study on language courses and do internship experiences in my field of study and then to look for a job. Over the last few years I have been employed by several international language schools in England where I was in charge of organizing tourist and recreational activities for the students, the majority of them were teenagers and young people under the age of 30, while at the same time i was working some extra hours teaching Italian and Spanish privately, to people who wanted to improve their level of language for academic reasons. Once back in Italy I decided to start a full time career in teaching and I am currently enrolled in the CELTA course, the official Cambridge certification to teach English as a foreign language, recognized nationally and internationally.

About the lesson

Hello, my name is Cecilia and I offer English and Spanish lessons in Milan, for students of various levels and ages. My teaching is mainly aimed at middle or high school students / professional institutes students who need to be supported with their study, or university students who need help with language exams, but also at those who want to go abroad for leisure reasons and want to learn the basics to be able to communicate in the country of destination. Depending on your requests and needs, it will be my concern to create an educational program that will help you improve your reading, writing and listening comprehension skills, as well as encouraging you to express yourself using words correctly and encouraging conversation. All with the support of a good textbook to work on, and if you are already using one provided by your school we can work on that or i can suggest to use another one. Don't worry, I do not give thousands of pages of exercises to do at home but only the little needed to learn and that makes me think you have understood. In general I tend to work on topics of interest with students, such as travel, cooking, movies, or current topics so that the lessons are never boring and because we learn better if we feel comfortable. I also offer translation services.
