My passion for English has been consistent throughout my education, allowing me to enjoy a degree in Law and Philosophy. At the present time, I do not have an extensive history of tutoring professionally, but I am confident in helping peers who are less competent than me.

I offer my lessons to GCSE and A-Level students studying English and I am equally happy to help Philosophy and Law students. Though I've always maintained good grades, I used to struggle greatly with staying focussed and processing information. Therefore, I am not an advocate for regurgitating masses of black and white text in as limited amount of time possible, as I believe it is important to learn visually and effectively. Unfortunately exams are quite the opposite, but I have found that smart methods of revision, such as the use of colour, flashcards, mind maps and so on, are extremely efficient and have and continue to gain me high marks. It is important to thoroughly understand what is being asked of you in exams and coursework and how you can gain extra marks, once you have conquered the basics. I enjoy getting people to find better synonyms for particular words, ones that do not sound overly forced or out of place but ones that improve their quality of work.
