  • When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

    When I was in Jss2, in 2008.
  • Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

I teach legal courses, like Law of Evidence, Criminal Law, Labour or Industrial Law, Law of Contract, Criminal Litigation, Civil Litigation, Property Law Practice. I can also teach Corporate Law Practice, but, I have a little less interest in it and Professional ethics which I am capable of teaching as well
  • Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

    Yes, I did.
My maths teacher in Senior Secondary School.
At the tertiary level: my Legal methods lecturer and my Civil Litigation lecturer
  • What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

The major quality required to be a good tutor, in my opinion, is patience. You also need to understand your student's strength and weakness. A good command of words is also great.
  • Provide valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

Well, when I was in Senior Secondary School, I used to be very good at maths. A day came when we had a test. We were to exchange our scripts and mark them ourselves, while the teacher solves the problems on the board. He made a mistake on one of the problems, that I got correctly. I couldn't hold back, I started putting words forward and he gave me the opportunity to fix the problem my way. Mind you, my teacher was very smart, I mean, brilliant! So, I taught the class the solution to the problem, it was clear as crystal that I was right. Not was I only right, the problem became more comprehensive to my classmates and I was commended, too. What followed after was an instruction from my maths teacher, that, I should handle tutorials in class in his absence.
  • What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

None, that I can recall or know of
  • Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

I especially have a passion for teaching, as well as also having a love for legal practice.
