About Michael
Hello! My name is Mike and I am a CELTA certified ESL teacher with over 7 years of experience teaching English.
I have taught in several different countries such as Peru, Australia, South Korea and Mexico! I have also taught many classes online. Also, I have taught all different ages and all different levels of English.
I have a degree in Education and I am extremely passionate about Education and the importance it plays in our world.
I love to learn about new cultures, travel, do photography and keep and active lifestyle!

I believe the best way to learn English, and any language for that matter is to SPEAK as much as possible. Language is not like math, it shouldn't be learned like a formula.
I teach English the same way any native speaker learns their own language, authentically and naturally. I like to describe my classes as "Learning, in English." Which means we learn about many things such as culture, science, food, sports, etc. and use English.
The key to this is to get out of the box that you are comfortable with and drastically increase your vocabulary and fluency. Before you know it, you will be able to talk about any topic with anyone in English and you will do so confidently !
Something that sets me apart from many other tutors is that I understand what it is like to learn a language as I learned Spanish as a non-native speaker. I teach English with the techniques that worked best for me!
