Book guitar lessons with expert teachers

Starting guitarists need to master a few key fundamentals before moving to songs or complex techniques.

• Guitar anatomy: Identify the soundhole along with the tuning pegs to understand its physical layout.
• String identification: Standard tuning assigns specific notes to the strings when unfretted: E-A-D-G-B-E.
• Left-hand form: Press strings firmly just before the fret using the pads near your nails.
• Basic strumming: Develop a steady down-up motion by moving from the wrist rather than elbow movement.

These core elements prepare beginners for learning chords within early lessons.
