Book guitar lessons with expert teachers

The first lessons for a beginner cover guitar anatomy and fundamental skills.

• Parts of the instrument: Learn the names of each major part like the headstock and fretboard.
• Note names: Memorise the six open string notes to navigate the fretboard.
• Fretting technique: Keep the thumb position on the back of the neck while fingers arch over strings.
• Basic strumming: Hold the pick between your index finger and strum through all strings with loose wrist motion.

Master these essentials first to avoid bad habits that limit your playing.
