Book guitar lessons with expert teachers

Guitar beginners should start with four essential building blocks that create strong groundwork.

• Guitar components: Know the headstock and other essential parts to describe problems.
• String identification: The six strings are tuned to E-A-D-G-B-E from thickest to thinnest.
• Fretting technique: Keep your thumb behind the fretboard while fingers stay perpendicular.
• Strumming basics: Hold a plectrum between your thumb and strum from top to bottom with fluid arm movement.

These core elements prepare beginners for building technique within a short timeframe.
