Book guitar lessons with expert teachers

Starting guitarists need to master core basics before moving to harder skills.

• Guitar components: Know the saddle and other key components to discuss technique.
• Note names: Memorise E-A-D-G-B-E to read tablature.
• Left-hand form: Press strings firmly just before the fret using the tips of your fingers.
• Strumming basics: Develop consistent rhythm by using wrist rotation rather than the whole arm.

Master these essentials first to avoid bad habits that limit your playing.
