About Umama
Hi! I'm an A Level student who grew up in a family full of teachers, scholars, and educationists, so learning has always been a big part of my life. English, however, has always been my favorite subject. My love for writing led me to become the Deputy Editor of my school yearbook (which I can proudly show you too—unless it becomes our little secret!).
Over the years, I've written speeches, scripts, articles, essays, and plenty of creative writing pieces. I enjoy helping students discover that English isn't just another school subject—it's a way to express yourself, tell stories, and build confidence.
One reason I love teaching children is that they're genuinely fun to be around. Kids ask questions like, "What's your third favorite color?" while adults usually ask me about grades, exams, and university applications! I believe learning should be enjoyable, not stressful.
My goal isn't just to be your teacher but also someone you feel comfortable learning with. We'll laugh, learn, celebrate progress, and create great memories along the way while building strong English skills and confidence.

I offer personalized English lessons for students from Preschool to Grade 8, covering reading comprehension, grammar, creative writing, essay writing, English literature, and spoken English. My teaching approach is interactive and engaging, using AI-powered learning tools, digital activities, videos, presentations, and custom worksheets designed around each child's interests and favorite things.
Lessons typically last between 40 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes, depending on the student's age and needs. I believe learning should be enjoyable, so I encourage students to take short breaks when needed and create a comfortable environment where they can ask questions and express themselves confidently.
I have previously tutored two children and am dedicated to helping every student improve at their own pace while building strong communication and writing skills.
