About Ciara
My name is Ciara, and I’m 16 years old! I took Fine Art, Media Studies and French at GCSE, and now I am in sixth form, taking Fine Art, Graphic Design, Media Studies and an EPQ. I’m friendly and easy-going, and I promise that there will be absolutely no stress or judgement throughout any of our lessons. I love helping people, and I look forward to being able to offer my assistance to anyone who needs it. Outside of academics, I participate in a lot of extracurriculars, including playing in a band and debate society. And I’m definitely happy to talk about things other than English!

Hi! My name is Ciara, and I’m 16 years old and looking to offer help to any GCSE students in year 10 or 11 in their upcoming exams. Having done my GCSEs recently, I believe I can offer recent and relevant advice that helped me achieve a 9 in English Literature. Also, I find tutoring can be less stressful when paired with someone close to your age, allowing sessions to be more comfortable. I will be offering 1 hour sessions, where we will review how to effectively answer the questions given, as well as exercises that promote thinking about your set texts critically. I will give insight as to how to break down quotes, and draw as many marks possible from every point and quote. We will regularly review quotes and contexts throughout the course, to commit these to long term memory, and spend the majority of the session working on helping you understand quotes, but also helping you form your own independent insights. I also believe vocabulary is extremely important when it comes to writing your essay, so I will often try to introduce you to new words that can help you express your points fluidly and coherently.
