About Sinsimilla
Hello! My name is Sinsimilla, and I am thrilled to share my passion for the English language with you. With a background as a qualified Legal Professional and over five years of experience teaching in a homeschooling setting, I bring a unique and in-depth understanding of English to my lessons. I am currently pursuing my Level 5 TEFL certification to further enhance my teaching skills. My journey into teaching English as a second language has been incredibly rewarding. The joy of helping students achieve their language goals and witnessing their progress is truly satisfying. Teaching the language I love gives me a sense of fulfilment that is unmatched. As a legal professional, I have honed my command of the English language to a level beyond native fluency. This experience has equipped me with an exceptional grasp of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, which I now share with my students. My background allows me to teach with precision, clarity, and a deep understanding of the nuances of British English. Being a teacher of homeschooled children has meant that I have grasped adapting my teaching style to suit different age groups. This flexibility ensures that each student receives a tailored learning experience that meets their unique needs and abilities. In my time as an ESOL teacher, I have had the pleasure of working with students from diverse backgrounds, including Poland, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, and Italy. This experience has enriched my teaching practice, allowing me to understand and address the specific challenges faced by learners from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds. It also means I am well-equipped to help you navigate the intricacies of English, no matter where you are from. I am a friendly, experienced, and passionate tutor who believes in a student-led approach to learning. I focus on pronunciation to help you achieve a genuine British accent, teaching grammar and idioms to enhance your language skills, and placing a large emphasis on conversational English that can be applied in real-world settings. My lessons are designed to build your confidence and fluency, ensuring you can communicate effectively and naturally. Whether you need help with speaking practice, grammar skills, reading and comprehension, or essay proofreading, I am here to guide you. Let’s work together to reach your goals and make your English learning journey enjoyable and successful.

I have known Sinsimilla for several years . She is insightful, capable and intelligent with a passion for the English language. She has the ability to look at everyday subjects and situations and interweave them into her lesson plans to deliver clear and concise ways for students to grasp the language easily. She is very thoughtful about the whole process and this shows in her teaching. Overall I am very happy with this tutor and would highly recommend her.
