About Natalie
I am a licensed teacher for English Language Arts for middle and high school in the state of North Carolina and have several years worth of teaching and tutoring. I am passionate about English and language as an art form and a form of communication throughout history. I have always enjoyed reading and writing, but have struggled as an English student in the past, allowing me the insight of knowing what it is like to struggle with academic English and to help you find joy in the subject as well.

My teaching philosophy is to modify lessons to benefit the student taking the lessons. I will work closely and in tandem with you to ensure you are able to get the most out of our lessons. I am able to help all students develop a deeper understanding of the ELA subject matter from grammar to reading comprehension to writing. I have experience guiding high school students in the writing of their college admissions essays, the construction of essays for other subjects like history, as well as SAT and ACT test preparation for both the multiple choice section and the essay portion.
