About Laura
I am a Literature and Creative Writing student working towards my degree at the University of Surrey offering tutoring and assistance for English Literature up to A-Level. I have also worked assisting the teaching of young students at KUMON. I finished college with A*, A, B, and consistently achieve high 2:1s and Firsts in my university assignment. If you would like to work on improving your essay-writing skills, we will have a workshop-style session in which we analyse examples of good essays; go through some writing techniques that are proportional to your academic level, and work through your own essays to see what can be improved.
If you would like to go through a specific text in preparation for your curriculum next year, please contact me with the name of the text. I will then prepare a series of lesson plans for you that we will work through together.
If you would like assistance with creative writing, we will hold a workshop in which you present your ideas (or draft work) to me and I will offer you in-depth feedback. I will also recommend reading material (both fiction and theoretical) that I believe will help you to improve.
