About Rylan
Graduated from Bachelor's of Arts in International Studies major in European Studies at De La Salle University in Manila (DLSU-Manila, 2018). I have a Verified Certificate in Humanitarian Response at Harvard through edX, 2019. Now, I study Intercultural Competency in Education at the University of Iceland by edX too, 2020.

I follow and modify the method by flow and level, it depends on the students. Now, I teach English to two children in Alicante (third, fourth and ESO). Normally, we talk about his English books, we make a conversation in English, we watch videos and we play games (physical, on paper or online). I prefer the concept of familiarizing rather than memorizing. We can do the PPTs if you prefer to do this type of class. I always improve the content of my classes, especially when I have access to new materials from my school, or from the British Council, etc ... Education is a powerful instrument to change the world. Many generations have shown us how we can do it. To be able to do it, one of the ways that we can do is to prepare a varied place for our students. Also, being open to different cultures and languages could help students understand how the world works. So I think that my role as a conversation assistant could be an example to give an opportunity to improve the program in our school. Being exposed to an English speaker helps students personally learn the language. They can listen and see how the language lives among people. Furthermore, students have the option of interacting with a person from other cultures. This widens the gap that divides our differences. Also, the experience I get helps me build my personality. This work has taught me many things. First, education demonstrates its importance in shaping the lives of each of us. Second, teachers learn from students, too. We can learn a lot of values by looking at their smiles and tears. And finally, teaching gives me a feeling of fulfillment that no one could explain or forget.
