About Nicole
I have always been in love with education, and furthering my education in teaching and learning. I have a flair for art and English, as well as a passion for volunteering and animal welfare. I hope to assist any child regardless of race, culture or creed. I believe every child has the right to an education, therefore I am here to offer my services as a tutor and Grade R teacher.

I follow the methodology of community language learning and the philosophies of famous pedagogues in education, like Maria Montessori and Johann Pestalozzi. My home language is English, but I am proficient in Afrikaans. Students can expect a fun-filled engagement activity, such as games and singing activities. I study new concepts with them like reading stories and answering questions to boost comprehension. After studying a short-story, we will complete an activity to activate the knowledge gained from reading the story together, like a sequencing activity. It is important that my lesson encompasses an art activity, like a cut out butterfly and painting exercise to tweak their fine motor skills. Hence, perception is developed. My lessons address the needs and styles of visual, linguistic, kinaesthetic and auditory learners.
