About Marta

Marta's singing lessons are inspired by an internationally recognized study method, deeply influenced by her educational experience in the United States, where she developed a modern, practical, and individual-centered vocal approach.
The curriculum is designed as a fun and personal experience of vocal discovery, where each voice is welcomed, valued, and supported in its natural development. The goal is not to "build" an ideal voice, but to bring out the expressive uniqueness of each student through solid, creative, and customized technical work.
Through the study of different musical styles, active listening, and analysis of pieces chosen based on the student's needs and interests, the lesson promotes authentic and conscious expression, capable of connecting technique and emotion, study and freedom of expression.

Educational path

Breathing and body awareness:
-Knowledge of the vocal apparatus and its functions.
Work on posture and body balance for effective vocal emission.
-Breathing techniques and diaphragmatic support of the three diaphragms (pelvic, thoracic, lingual), for stable and controlled phonation.
-Targeted exercises to develop muscle flexibility, support, manage airflow, and coordinate breathing and sound.

Vocal technique and sound control:
-Personalised vocal warm-up to prepare and relax the voice.
-Work on the articulation and mobility of the facial system for clear and fluid diction.
-Study of the vocal attack: glottal, aspirated and coordinated.
-Exploration of vocal timbre and its resonance to improve sound perception and projection.
-Understanding vocal registers, managing transitions between them, vocal range and agility.
-Physiological maintenance of the vocal apparatus: hydration, daily voice care, prevention of vocal fatigue.
Introduction to microphone use: technique, posture, and sound management both live and in the studio.

Ear training and development of the musical ear:
-Exercises to improve intonation and melodic precision.
-Recognition and reproduction of intervals, chords (triads), major and minor scales, rhythmic structures.
-Musical analysis by listening to the structural parts of songs from a harmonic and melodic point of view

Interpretation and repertoire:
-Text analysis: pronunciation, meaning, context, and authorial style.
-Development of one's own personal and expressive interpretation.
-Introduction to vocal improvisation.
-Conscious choice of tonality and stylistic variations based on one's voice and expressive intention.
-Building stage presence: finding an emotional comfort zone, communicating authentically with the audience and any musicians.

Course objectives:
-Provide technical and expressive tools to enhance one's voice and musical identity.
-Learn to communicate effectively with other musicians, even on a technical level.
-Develop active and critical listening skills, useful both in study and performance.
-Create a personal and varied repertoire that reflects the artistic path undertaken.
