About Thaakirah
I completed the full CAPS curriculum through both Primary and High school, and always tutor my younger siblings and friends, giving me a thorough understanding of exactly what students face at every stage. Having recently finished grade 12, the content is fresh in my mind-I remember exactly what concepts tripped me up and how I worked through them, which makes me uniquely placed to help current students.
These past 2 months I am currently completing a TEFL certification, which is formally training me in how to explain language concepts clearly and effectively- a skill that directly benefits every student I work with, regardless of their level.
I approach every student as an individual before diving into content, I take time to understand where you are struggling and why-because the right explanation makes all the difference. My sessions are prepared in advance, time is never wasted.
You are not hiring someone who knows English. You are hiring someone who understands how it is taught, how it is examined, and how to get you from where you are to where you need to be.
