My approach to tutoring history is centered on making the subject engaging, relatable, and easy to understand. Rather than having students memorize dates and names, I focus on helping them understand why historical events happened, how they connect to one another, and why they still matter today. I believe students learn best when they're encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and make connections between the past and the present.
A typical lesson begins by reviewing previous material and identifying any areas that need clarification. From there, we'll break down new topics into manageable sections using discussion, timelines, maps, primary sources, and practice questions. I also help students develop effective note-taking, reading comprehension, and test-taking strategies so they feel more confident in the classroom.

My goal isn't just to help students earn better grades, but to help them build confidence and develop a genuine understanding of history.
