Victoria is a respected tutor in our community. She is highly recommended for her commitment and the quality of her lessons. An excellent choice to progress with confidence.
About Victoria
I recently graduated from my MPhil in Modern British History at the University of Cambridge, which was where I also did my undergraduate in History. I finished my masters' with a Distinction and a 79 in my Thesis, meaning I am excellent at critiquing and editing long-form writing pieces. I am a very empathetic and bubbly person who is motivated by helping others succeed. I have over a years' worth of experience mentoring for Head Up!, a student collective in Cambridge specialising in supporting disabled school students. If you chose me as your tutor, I would develop a detailed, personalised lesson plan that would suit your needs. I can offer support with exam revision, essay preparation and feedback, factual content, and advice on university admissions.

As a tutor, I understand that everybody learns differently. In our first session, we would establish what sort of format would work best for you, whether that be submitting essays for me to mark and give feedback on or through visual mindmapping. I am especially talented in essay preparation and would help you edit and revise exam essays and coursework essays. I am a very patient tutor and no problem is too small! For me, the most important thing is that you feel supported as a student. We would put together a list of goals at the beginning and work through them throughout our sessions, with regular reviews of your progress and performance. I would describe my style as coaching and mentoring - I would help you get to the right answers rather than give you all the answers. I find that this produces better results and will make you more confident academically.

I have known Victoria for 15 years and I can honestly say Victoria is kind hearted, devoted and considerate. She takes the time to really get to know her students and really goes the extra mile to tailor to the needs of those around her. Her method of teaching is clear and methodical and is a great team player. She is truly trustworthy and beyond helpful. I would definitely recommend Victoria as a tutor
On countless occasions Victoria has aided me with the skills and tools to improve my academic writing. Going through my pieces with me carefully and concisely. She explained thoroughly how to improve my academic writing by using contextual statements to support evidence based learning. Victoria is an amazing tutor and I would 100% recommend her. She is the best tutor I’ve had.
