About Farjana
I have a BS in Biomedical engineering with double minor in Chemical engineering and Applied math. I have a MS in Applied Statistics. I Taught in the classroom from 2007 - 2014 in Algebra I, II, Precalc, Calculus, AP Calculus. Coaching other math teachers in Orange Board of Education from 2014 - current. Students who took HSPA improved by 40%. Most of the students passed AP test with 4.

I always start any lessons with a do now to see if the students have the pre-reqs for the lesson I am going to teach. Based on student work I do mini lesson if needed. I then move onto a Task to promote student thinking. The purpose of the task is to introduce a new concept or just problem solving. Then I ask Scaffolding to those students who need it. Last but not least I collect evidence by doing check for understanding. Students then do guided practice and then indpendent practice.
