About Benjamin
I am just starting out as a private tutor. I have three years of experience as a full-time teacher. I have taught a couple hundred students in a classroom environment but have found my strength lies in one-on-one situations. I have taught a handful of students in person one-on-one and taught many more online as an ESL tutor. When I gave my students copies of the Constitution, many of them really appreciated it. I have also gone out and talked to college students about it and more than a few have been inspired by it.

I have a passion for History and Civics. I give lessons in History, CIvics, and Social Science to Junior High and High school students.
I work with students to evaluate historic events and connect them to today. It is important to understand that history is not merely a series of events that occurred in the past, but something that has a very real impact on our world today. I want to inspire students to understand this importance and be able to think critically about it. I also want students to realize how important or civic tradition is. So many people don't pay attention to civics but that doesn't mean it doesn't affect them. I also write about History and Civics for my local Newspaper.
