About Bhumika

Hello! I'm Bhumika, an English literature graduate from the University of Exeter, England, with professional experience in journalism, editing, publishing, and communications.

Over the years, I have worked with newspapers, publishing houses, authors, academics, and students, helping them strengthen their writing, communication, and analytical skills. My work has appeared in leading publications, and I have spent much of my career reading, writing, editing, and thinking critically about language and literature.

As a teacher, I believe learning should be engaging, encouraging, and intellectually stimulating. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, expressing their ideas, and developing confidence in their abilities. Whether you are struggling with an assignment, preparing for an examination, working on a research paper, or simply looking to improve your writing, I will tailor lessons to your individual needs and goals.

I teach English literature, academic writing, essay writing, creative writing, editing, and communication skills. My lessons combine academic rigor with practical guidance, helping students improve not only their grades but also their ability to think, analyze, and communicate effectively.

I enjoy working with school students, university students, adult learners, and aspiring writers. My goal is to help each student discover their strengths and develop the skills they need to succeed with confidence.

I look forward to helping you achieve your learning goals and making the study of language and literature both enjoyable and rewarding.

I believe learning happens best when students feel comfortable, curious, and confident enough to ask questions. My goal as a teacher is not simply to help students perform well in exams or assignments, but to help them become thoughtful readers, clearer writers, and more independent thinkers.

In my classes, I focus on understanding rather than memorization. Whether we are discussing literature, analyzing a text, improving an essay, or working on creative writing, I encourage students to engage with ideas, express their opinions, and develop their own voice.

My teaching style is interactive and tailored to the individual student. Some students need help building confidence, while others want to refine their writing or deepen their understanding of literature. I adapt my lessons accordingly. I often use discussions, close reading, writing exercises, and detailed feedback to help students improve steadily and meaningfully.

A typical class usually begins with a conversation about the student's goals and any challenges they may be facing. We then work through the topic together, applying concepts through practical exercises and examples. I like to make lessons engaging and relevant rather than overly rigid, while ensuring that students leave with a clear understanding of what they have learned.

What I bring to teaching is a combination of academic training and professional experience. I hold a Master's degree in English Literature from the University of Exeter, England, and have worked in journalism, editing, publishing, and communications. This allows me to connect classroom learning with real-world writing and communication skills.

My classes are suitable for school students, university students, adult learners, and aspiring writers. Whether you want to improve your English, strengthen your academic writing, prepare for examinations, develop your creative writing, or gain confidence in expressing yourself, I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where you can grow at your own pace.
