About Ana
Hi, I'm Ana, I'm 25 years old, I'm a forensic scientist and I love to dance. I'm originally from Mexico but I'm studying the MSc at UCL, so I'd love to meet people who are curious or have a passion for salsa, cumbia or merengue for fun and learning. No matter what level you are, if you have never danced this kind of music or if you are already an expert, the important thing is to keep moving!

We will contact to coordinate the sessions, if the pandemic allows it, we will schedule online sessions and also face-to-face sessions in open spaces. Gender and age are not important. It is never too late to have fun.
First we will start listening to music from these genres that we traditionally dance to at Mexican parties in order to identify the beat that will guide our feet.
Then we will start with the basic dance step that can be used for both cumbia and salsa and some elementary turns.
Finally we will progress little by little with faster songs and more complex movements, trying to put into practice what we have learned so as not to lose the rhythm.
But above all, we will always seek to have fun in an atmosphere of safety and confidence! It's good to feel shy but don't worry, nobody will judge you!
