About Harry

I am passionate about helping young people become confident, creative and responsible digital innovators. With a strong technical background, professional experience in cybersecurity, and current classroom practice across KS3 - KS5, I am committed to delivering lessons that students trust, understand and value.

My academic foundation began with a BEng (Hons) in Computer Systems and Software Engineering, developing deep knowledge of programming, algorithms, systems architecture and secure software development. I then strengthened this with five years of industry experience in cybersecurity, information assurance and digital risk management. This professional experience helps me bring real-world relevance to the classroom, so students understand how technology works in practice and how it connects to real responsibilities in the digital world.

To broaden my perspective even further, I completed an MBA with a focus on Finance. This deepened my understanding of how digital transformation drives modern industries. I use this knowledge to help students see clear connections between Computer Science, real careers and the wider digital economy—making learning both purposeful and engaging.

I am a qualified Computer Science Teacher (PGCE/QTS), teaching Computer Science across KS3, KS4 and KS5. This training and experience have reinforced my commitment to creating inclusive, supportive, high-expectation learning environments. I build positive relationships with students and encourage them to think independently, solve problems creatively and develop resilience - especially when learning becomes challenging.

In my teaching, I make Computer Science accessible through hands-on learning, clear explanations and relevant examples. Whether I am introducing KS3 students to computational thinking or guiding KS4 and KS5 students through programming, networks or cybersecurity, my aim is the same: to spark curiosity and help students see themselves as capable digital creators.

I am also committed to keeping my technical knowledge current, particularly in areas such as AI, cybersecurity, cloud computing and emerging programming approaches. This ensures my curriculum remains forward-thinking, accurate and ambitious, while still being achievable for learners.

Students deserve professionalism, clarity and high standards. I bring all three to my teaching, and I would welcome the opportunity to contribute my enthusiasm, expertise and developing pedagogy to support students to become confident, responsible and successful digital innovators.
