About Flora

I am a motivated singing tutor with 4 years of experience teaching school and college-level students. I have successfully guided around 200 students, helping them build strong vocal technique and performance confidence. My teaching philosophy is centered on communication, integrity, and flexibility, ensuring every student receives clear guidance suited to their individual pace and comfort level. I explain vocal concepts clearly so students understand not just what to practice, but why it helps their voice, making it easier for them to apply techniques on their own. I give honest feedback about strengths and areas for improvement, helping students track their real progress rather than relying only on praise. I also adjust my teaching approach based on how each student learns, spending more time on breath control or pitch accuracy when necessary. My lessons cover breathing exercises, vocal warm-ups, pitch training, and tone development, gradually introducing music theory basics to support overall musicianship. For advanced students, I also focus on stage presence and performance readiness. My goal is to help every student grow into a confident, skilled singer with a genuine love for music.

My teaching approach for Singing, Vocal Technique, and Music Theory focuses on helping students build a strong voice through clear guidance, honest feedback, and a teaching style that adapts to their needs. With a few years of experience guiding singers, I have developed a methodology that keeps lessons practical and supportive.

Communication plays a central role in how I teach. I explain vocal techniques clearly and make sure students understand not just what to practice, but why it helps their voice, so they can apply what they learn confidently even outside of lessons.

Integrity shapes the feedback I give. I am honest about a student's progress, pointing out both strengths and areas that need improvement, so they always have an accurate understanding of where they stand rather than only hearing encouragement.

Flexibility guides how I structure each lesson. Every student learns differently, so I adjust the pace and focus based on their comfort level, spending more time on breath control or pitch accuracy when needed, and moving faster through concepts a student grasps quickly.

My lessons usually begin with breathing exercises and vocal warm ups to build a solid technical foundation. From there, I move into pitch training, tone development, and breath support practice, gradually introducing music theory basics like rhythm and note reading.

For more confident students, I focus on stage presence, dynamic control, and genre specific techniques such as classical, pop, or playback singing, along with basic recording practice to build studio readiness.

I tailor my teaching to match each student's personal goals, whether they are singing for enjoyment, preparing for performances, or building a foundation for future growth. My overall aim is to create a clear, honest, and flexible learning environment where every student feels supported in developing their voice.
