About O'Ryan

I'm a passionate educator dedicated to learning as I teach. I consider myself to be highly reliable and fun to learn with. I enjoy meeting new students and walking with them on their learning journey, and empowering them to see this journey not as a means to an end, but as a dynamic process.

About the lesson

Hi, learners! I'm a passionate teacher who adapts my lessons to match the position of where students are in their learning journey. For my young learners, I use personally crafted online materials to make lessons engaging, vibrant, and fun. I'm flexible in my pedagogical outlook depending on the learning style of my pupils, and I make use of flashcards, videos, songs, and PPTs, all the while using total physical responses to keep my learners interested.

I make use of oral placement tests to gauge the level of my learners, and I have mainly been using the Power-up and Oxford Reading Tree series to teach my young learners. Lessons for students ages 4 -6 are 40 minutes long, while lessons for learners aged 7 - 14 are 1 hour long.

Adult learners looking to improve their oral English are also welcome to join, with their classes clocking in at 1 hour too.

As to my experience, I have over five years of experience teaching English as a second language offline, and at least two years of teaching online. I have a 150-hour TEFL certificate and a CertPT through Trinity College, London.
