About Quinn
I am a Chemistry tutor with over 4 years of experience and hold an MSc in Organic Chemistry. My teaching integrates forensic chemistry and toxicology to explore the chemical aspects of crime investigation. Students learn to analyze evidence, understand trace substances, and interpret forensic data with confidence. I guide learners through drug analysis, the study of trace evidence, and analytical techniques for detecting poisons. Lessons combine theory with practical applications, helping students see the relevance of chemistry in real-world investigations. I have worked extensively with students pursuing careers in forensic science, law, and public safety, supporting their academic and professional growth. Practical exercises and case studies are central to my approach, allowing students to apply their knowledge in simulated forensic scenarios. I emphasize critical thinking, attention to detail, and methodical problem-solving. Each session is designed to strengthen both competence and confidence. My goal is to help students become well-rounded chemists capable of contributing to justice. Through guidance, hands-on practice, and personalized support, learners gain the skills and understanding needed for success in forensic chemistry and related fields.

My teaching approach in Chemistry combines conceptual understanding with practical problem-solving. I cover topics ranging from general and organic Chemistry to advanced areas needed for AP Chemistry test preparation. Lessons focus on theoretical explanations, complex problem-solving, and experimental analysis to strengthen both knowledge and application skills.
I use targeted drills and practice tests to build mastery and familiarity with exam formats. Students learn to approach problems methodically, improving accuracy and speed. I work closely with learners, helping them understand underlying concepts rather than just memorizing facts.
Laboratory techniques and data interpretation are emphasized to connect theory with real-world experiments. Mistakes are treated as learning opportunities, fostering a reflective and analytical mindset. I support students in building confidence and competence, ensuring they are fully prepared for high-stakes exams.
Each session is personalized, focusing on areas that need improvement while reinforcing strengths. Step by step, students gain the skills to tackle challenging questions independently. The goal is to help learners excel academically and develop confidence for exam day.
