About Riley
I am a Physics tutor with over four years of experience and a strong academic background in BSc Applied Physics. My main area of study has been plasma physics, where I explored how charged particles behave in extreme conditions. I have learned how plasma forms, interacts, and responds to electric and magnetic fields. My work also includes studying magnetic confinement and inertial confinement, both essential paths in fusion energy research. I enjoy helping students understand how these methods try to hold plasma long enough to create clean and powerful energy. Many learners come to me with an interest in future energy solutions, and I support them in exploring these possibilities. I also work with students who want to understand space science and high-energy physics. Some are fascinated by solar plasma, while others want to learn how fusion could change the world. I guide each learner step by step and help them connect theory with real scientific goals. My lessons combine clarity, curiosity, and practical thinking. Together, we explore the science behind the fourth state of matter. And with this understanding, students can imagine how plasma may one day power our future.

My teaching approach in Physics is gentle, reflective, and strongly connected to real scientific inquiry. I guide students to understand concepts through practical problem-solving and hands-on thinking. I include major areas such as mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum physics, and modern physics. For laboratory work, I teach experimental design, data analysis, error propagation, and clear scientific reporting. I help learners ask meaningful questions and explore ideas with confidence. Some students enjoy building things and trying creative setups, so I support their DIY scientist spirit. Others are curiosity-driven learners, and I encourage them to follow their natural interest in discovery. Each student is supported in finding their own method of understanding experiments. I help them design better procedures and identify sources of uncertainty. I encourage clear thinking and careful observation. Together, we build strong scientific habits. With this approach, learners grow more confident in both theory and experiments.
